“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop”
I have this quote from Confucius on my desktop this morning.
It’s a bit comforting because, honestly, I never thought my project would take this long!!
Since I started, Denis Villeneuve was able to make two Dune movies! I should be able to finish an online course, right??
But I did accomplish a lot since my last progress report:
- I completed the recordings and audio editing of my 56 scripts (28 in French, 28 in English);
- I also completed phase 1 of my video editing, where I find as many visual and audio elements as I possibly can and do a first draft of each video – images, texts, graphics, sound effects, animations, and – with their permission – examples from websites of different companies (Winsor & Newton, Gamblin Colors, Kama Pigments, Sennelier…);
- In Trello, I took note of all the elements that were missing – a few images and sound effects, but mostly video demonstrations (phase 2) and what I call talking heads, where I speak to the camera (phase 3);
- And in my “free time”, I try to learn as much as I can about copywriting, marketing, SEO, sales funnels, legal considerations…. and the multitude of other topics related to producing an online course.
So, to paraphrase Confucius, it’s taking longer than I expected, but I’m doing it!
